Random Acts Seeks New Volunteers for Hard Work, Sock Monkey Funtime

The Random Acts bunker has been busy lately with all of our programs, like E4K (still doing the happy dance!) and our Draw the Love contest (closing soon!) — and we could use a few extra hands.

Volunteering with Random Acts means a few things – hard work, fun times, and a wonderful group of people with whom to be creative.

All of our positions are on a volunteer, part-time basis – but some positions require more of a time commitment than others, especially when we work on a large event like E4K.  Your best chance of selection for the Random Acts team is talent or expertise in the position for which you apply.  Our current staff works for companies all over the world, but donate their time to conquer the world with kindness.

We’re looking to fill the following vacancies:

Development Officer  Random Acts is looking for a Development Officer to join the Administration Team. The Development Officers work with the Development Manager to find and develop new and creative fundraising initiatives for Random Acts, ensuring a steady source of funding for the organization. The ability to recognize and interpret funding trends and make relevant recommendations is key, as well as knowledge of major donors, funding sources and grant application procedures. Experience in managing projects is highly desirable.

Social Media Officers  We’re searching for three Social Media Officers to join the existing Social Media Team within our Marketing Department. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Officers are responsible for maintaining Random Acts’ presence and reputation in the social media world, as well as facilitating communications on the social media accounts for which they are responsible.   Experience using Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook is essential. This position requires a time commitment of up to 15-20 hours a week.

Graphic Designer (maternity cover)  Random Acts is searching for a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Department. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designers are responsible for the design, production, and adaptations of the organization’s visual elements. These elements include, but are not limited to: artwork and graphics for the web, such as banners, buttons, and headers; letterhead; business cards; t-shirts; buttons; and all other merchandise. The Graphic Designers also produce artwork to support the organization’s campaigns and projects, which may include promotional images, posters, and working with stock images.  This role may only be temporary, in order to provide maternity cover. When applying for this role, you must provide a portfolio of your work. This can either be a link, or you can upload a file.

If you think this sounds like your kind of challenge, please fill out an application and apply for the team!  Click here to read the full position descriptions and access the application form.  If you have any questions about any of the following vacancies, please contact hr@randomacts.org.

Our Random Acts team works hard, but we also have a lot of fun, and we hope you will consider joining the Random Acts staff for fun times, lots of laughs, and sock monkey jokes.
